Terms of service
These terms are a contract between you and Dunn Technologies Ltd, trading as Dunn ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. Dunn is a business tool built for sole traders, freelancers and small businesses — not for consumer use.
1. The service
Dunn lets you create and send invoices, manage clients, and chase payment through automated email reminders sent on your behalf. We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change as the product develops.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for everything done through your account. One person or business per account. You must be at least 18.
3. Plans and billing
- Starter is free and limited to 3 invoices.
- Pro and Growth are paid monthly subscriptions, billed through Stripe. Prices are shown on the billing page at the time you subscribe.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
- If a payment fails and isn't resolved, your account returns to the Starter plan. Your data is not deleted.
4. Reminders sent on your behalf — your responsibilities
Payment reminders are sent from Dunn's email domain, in your name, to clients you added, about invoices you created. By enabling or triggering reminders you confirm that:
- the invoice and amounts are genuine and accurate;
- you have the right to contact the recipient about the debt;
- you will not use Dunn to send content that is unlawful, harassing, or misleading, or to chase debts you know to be disputed in bad faith.
We may suspend sending, or an account, where we reasonably believe reminders are being misused (for example spam, invented debts, or harassment).
5. Your data and content
Your invoices, client records and business details remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process them to run the service — including sending the emails you ask us to send. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy. You can delete your account and all its data at any time from Settings.
6. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to breach the security of the service, access other users' data, resell the service, use it to send unsolicited bulk email, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that:
- Dunn is a tool that helps you chase payment — we do not guarantee that any invoice will be paid, that emails will be delivered or read, or any particular financial outcome.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of business.
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period (or £50 if you're on the free plan).
You'll keep your own copies of information you need for tax and accounting purposes; Dunn is not a system of record for statutory bookkeeping.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Dunn and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (liability, data, governing law) survive.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we'll give notice by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Dunn after that constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
